Taverna del gallo

We stumbled on La Taverna, around the corner from our hotel, and were very happy with its cozy Alpine (warm wood paneling, elk antler chandeliers, crisp white tablecloths), ambiance, traditionally attired and well trained waiters, and menu choices. The whole evening was very pleasant.

A family owned restaurant with so nice staff. Experienced also about wine. Really good steak, risotto and pasta too. They are having Christmas all the year 😊

Great find! We went to this restaurant because it was closer to our hotel and had seafood. It turned out to be a gem! Every dish was excellent! Special callout for the spaghetti in nero di seppia (cuttlefish ink) and the sliced tuna. The wine suggested by the staff (a Sicilian white) was also excellent, d was the dessert.

A bistrot on two floors very comfortable. Professional and very friendly staff: they have been sure for all the time that lunch was of our pleasure. Price matched with what was offered. Excellent bergamask boxes. Recommended!

We stumbled upon this little gem looking for a restaurant close to our apartment that was open on a Sunday. We were lucky! Excellent food, kindest and most attentive staff, unusually cosy. A total of 10 delicious local dishes, wine and drinks for 5 to round up this perfect evening left us with a bill of less than 200 Euro. What a treat - we warmly recommend you to drop by when in Bergamo.

The daily set menu is a great value and our pasta dish was really good. What made this place great, though, we&rsquo;re the waiters. They were super helpful, attentive, and friendly without being overbearing. Thanks so much!

Nice restaurant just out of the tourist centre (downtown). Felt us very welcome and quite some locals are coming there as well. No rush rush service, so we could enjoy our meal.

Location is nice in the city center of Bergamo. Friendly owner and waiters. Family restaurant atmosphere. Pizza was average, nothing special.
